ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Lifespan announced a major donation to support family caregivers, renaming its caregiver services in honor of Claire and Jerry Roeberg.
At a caregiver conference, Lifespan revealed it will now call its program the Claire and Jerry Roeberg Caregiver Services, thanks to a significant gift from Claire Roeberg. She said her own experience shows why this support matters.
“It makes me feel wonderful. So people get the services from Lifespan that I got and got me through a journey that was difficult,” Claire said.
Lifespan said 80% of caregivers are family members. The donation will help more families access the resources they need.
