SENECA FALLS, N.Y. — The Seneca County Health Department says a person who tested positive for measles may have exposed others to the disease.
The department says the person visited Lifecare Medical Associates between 1:15 p.m.-4:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14. The department says it is working with Lifecare Medical Associates are reviewing scheduling records during the exposure period to determine what patients were at risk due to vaccination and immunity status.
Patients without documented evidence of vaccination and/or immunity are being contacted by either Lifecare or the health department.
The department is advising anyone who may have visited Lifecare during that time to monitor for signs and symptoms of measles through Monday, Oct. 5.

Slaughter Train Station in Rochester on Saturday, Aug. 29. Monroe County health officials say the person wasn’t a county resident, but may have exposed others.

A person with measles also visited Strong Memorial Hospital’s emergency department in early September, potentially exposing about 100 people to the highly contagious virus.

Measles dashboard to track confirmed cases
The State Department of Health recently launched a new measles dashboard to track the outbreak in New York. The dashboard allows users to track confirmed cases by county.
Steuben County also launched its own dashboard to give timely and accessible measles information in the county.
