Lori Loughlin is officially back in the Hallmark movie universe.
The longtime network favorite will reprise her role as amateur sleuth Jennifer Shannon in Garage Sale Mysteries: Murder Takes the Stage, marking her first Hallmark movie since 2019.
Loughlin had completed filming Season 6 of When Calls the Heart when she was indicted on federal charges in connection with the 2019 “Varsity Blues” college admissions scandal. She initially pleaded not guilty before later pleading guilty and serving a prison sentence, as did her then-husband, Mossimo Giannulli.
Following the indictment, Hallmark cut ties with Loughlin. When Calls the Heart was temporarily pulled from the schedule, and its remaining Season 6 episodes were re-edited to remove her character while preserving the show’s larger storylines.
Loughlin’s return to the network was announced last year, with the actress set to appear in several episodes of When Calls the Heart Season 14. She also made a surprise cameo in the Season 13 finale, stepping out of a carriage in the episode’s final moments and declaring, “It’s good to be home.”
Now, she is returning to another of her best-known Hallmark roles. In Garage Sale Mysteries: Murder Takes the Stage, Loughlin once again plays antique-store owner Jennifer Shannon—and Parade has an exclusive sneak peek at the new mystery.
