MONROE COUNTY, N.Y. — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said one inmate from the county jail tested positive for salmonella on Wednesday.
Deputies and responders are working with the Monroe County Department of Public Health to learn of the source and if anyone else has been infected.
Inmates that may’ve been exposed are currently being notified, according to the department. The jail also said it’s working to implement additional sanitary measures.
