ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A stalling front will keep the moisture train rolling through Western New York through tomorrow, and some unsettled weather will be riding along it at times as well. This evening should be mainly rain-free however, besides a small chance of some spotty showers near the Southern Tier. Skies will clear some closer to the lakeshore as temperatures dip to around 70 degrees by sunset. Skies will grow cloudy again overnight and the muggy air remains, as lows reach the mid 60s.
Early tomorrow morning some showers and storms will enter the region, crossing through mainly south and east of Rochester from around 6-10am. Right now, no severe weather is expected, so we’re still Green on the Threat Tracker, but you will likely be dealing with some heavy rain on your morning commute if you are in that area. The rest of Thursday will be mostly cloudy and still muggy with highs in the mid 70s. Thursday evening conditions should stay dry for the first regular season home game at the new Highmark Stadium.
After the stalled front passes by, high pressure will move in, ending the workweek much like how it started. Friday will feature sunny skies, lower humidity, and cooler temperatures as highs reach the upper 60s.
