ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say a driver abandoned their car after crashing into a bus shelter on North Goodman Street near Fernwood Avenue on Wednesday.
Officers and firefighters responded to the crash just before 1 a.m. Police say that, at the scene, they found heavy damage to an SUV and the bus shelter, but no driver.
Investigators believe that the SUV was heading north when the driver lost control and hit both the shelter and a nearby tree. The SUV was towed away. RPD is asking anyone with information to call 911.
