ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Though the morning started out very chilly, temperatures quickly warmed up into the mid-70s across the Rochester area on Tuesday. Weather has stayed mainly dry, however, a passing warm front will usher in a few showers later this evening. If kept at their current pace, Rochester may see a line of broken showers between 9pm and 10pm Tuesday. These should only present a passing shower, so the majority of the evening should be dry for Fringe Fest. These showers then move through the Finger Lakes and Wayne County between 10 and 11 pm.

We will see a break in the showers overnight, but persistent cloud cover will keep temperatures in the mid-60s. Humidity will increase toward early Wednesday morning. If you head out to work early (between 4am and 6am) a few showers and rumbles of thunder are likely, especially south of Rochester (Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Yates). After the morning rain and thunder, most of Wednesday will bring dry, albeit muggy, weather. Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 70s with dew points close to 70 degrees in parts of the greater Rochester area.

A few more isolated showers are possible Thursday morning as a stalled cold front lingers south over the New York/Pennsylvania boarder. Most of the heavier precipitation should stay in Pennsylvania. However, due to the close proximity of this stalled front, a few showers could be supported Thursday morning and temperatures will stay mild in the mid-70s. Cooler and fresher air will make its way in Thursday night through Friday.
