A children’s hospital in Illinois has been named among the best in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report.
The new report from the publication of the best children’s hospitals in the U.S. named Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago among the top.
The ranking looked at data from over 100 medical centers, analyzing them based on survival rates, patient safety, infection prevention and nurse staffing. Ninety of the facilities looked at were then ranked based on 11 specialties and 11 of those hospitals were named to the publication’s “Honor Roll,” including Lurie Children’s Hospital.
Lurie made the Honor Roll and tied for the top spot in the Midwest alongside Cincinnati Children’s and Nationwide Children’s in Ohio.
The report also highlighted strong performances from other Midwest hospitals, including Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
