ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – The Rochester Red Wings defeated Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 6-4, in their final home game of the 2026 season.
The Red Wings got a huge boost from Liover Peguero. The shortstop went 2-for-4 in the game and batted in 3 RBIs, leading the team in both categories.
For Rochester, it also sealed a series win, four games to two. Heading into the series, it was the Wings and the RailRiders, neck and neck at the top of the International League. Now, Rochester leads by two games over them, but also still just holds a one game lead over Indianapolis (second half).

The Rochester Red Wings will now have one final six game series in Buffalo to try and clinch their spot in the Triple-A postseason.
