The “My Heart Will Go On” singer became emotional as she took to the stage in Paris for her first headlining performance in six years amid a series of health battles.
Dion, 58, reunited with her fans on Saturday, September 12, as she kicked off her limited residency at the Paris La Défense Arena. The beloved artist, who has been battled Stiff Person Syndrome for years, will perform 10 live shows between September 12 and October 14.
“This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life. I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you,” she announced in March.

The Canadian superstar opened up about her diagnosis in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in August, revealing that she had been experiencing symptoms for 17 years before her official diagnosis in 2022.
