A Texas fan has Pat McAfee and others shelling out some big bucks.
Connor won the opportunity to participate in McAfee’s weekly kicking contest on Saturday. Up front, Connor said on College GameDay that he had a nonprofit in mind for half of his $1 million in winnings.
The first attempt by Connor had the distance, but was a bit off target. For the second chance, McAfee raised the stakes. Texas’s Minister of Culture, Matthew McConaughey, was on set for the kicking contest. McAfee got McConaughey to pledge $100,000. Kirk Herbstreit also chipped in $100,000, raising the total pot to $1.2 million.
