Nick Saban torches overreactions after Week 1: ‘Don’t listen to all that bullsh–‘ ...Middle East

News by : (SATURDAY DOWN SOUTH) -

Nick Saban has a clear message to the college football world after Week 1. The head coaching legend took a playful jab at his fellow College GameDay colleagues and the fans for their raw emotions.

Saban fired back at Pat McAfee and Desmond Howard particularly for both ends of the spectrum regarding the optimism for LSU and pessimism for Michigan. LSU routed Clemson while Michigan controversially defeated Western Michigan.

“I think all you guys need to calm down,” Saban said. “You got rat poison over here for LSU proclaiming they’re going to win the national championship after 1 game. We’ve got people all over your alma mater Michigan talking about how they played last week. It’s 1 game.”

Saban then explained there’s plenty of time for teams to develop and shared his mentality from his coaching days.

“Everybody has the opportunity to improve. It’s a long season,” Saban said. “One thing that I hated and despised about the media is how they sort of proclaimed your team early… I would always say it’s about us, dont listen to all that bullsh–.”

Wise words but you can definitely expect more of the same reaction after a juicy slate of Week 2 games, anchored by the showdown of Ohio State at Texas.
