On Tuesday, Mars Snacking revealed plans to relaunch several cult favorites in first-of-its-kind packaging that resembles another iconic offering from the brand: Pringles.
Yup, the famous cylindrical container typically filled with swoop-shaped potato crisps is taking on a new role that Mars is touting as a “major upgrade” for fans of the two cracker brands—especially those who tend to grab them as a snack on the go.
Cheez-It and Club Crackers Are Getting an All-New Canister Lineup
Long gone are the days when consumers had to choose between standard or pantry-sized (7- or 12.4-ounce) packages of Cheez-Its and their individually wrapped bags, single-serving cans, or Club’s 11-ounce boxes of its Minis crackers, as the snacking giant is officially rolling out a new canister lineup for grab-and-go convenience.
“Easy, on-the-go snacking is a top need for our fans,” Nicole Sorensen, VP of marketing, Crackers at Mars Snacking, shared in a Sept. 8 press release. “By bringing these popular Cheez-It and Club crackers to this grab-and-go format, we’re giving people a simple way to enjoy their favorites anywhere, anytime.”

The new canister lineup includes:
Cheez-It Original crackers: The iconic Cheez-It crackers are made with 100% real cheese and baked to crispy perfection for that crunchy, cheesy, salty flavor in every bite. Cheez-It Grooves Minis Sharp White Cheddar crackers: A brand-new mini version of the beloved Grooves crackers, featuring deep ridges for a maxed-out crunch and the bold flavor of sharp white cheddar. Club Minis Original crackers: The light, flaky, buttery taste of Club crackers, now in a mini size that makes it easy to snack on, share and serve. Mars, Inc. said fans can find its new cans of Cheez-It and Club crackers at retailers nationwide starting this month for a suggested retail price of $2.69 (the exact size of the canisters is currently unclear).
