Then, the ESPN analyst began to peak ahead at the looming Florida-Auburn matchup at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Week 3, with him viewing that as a pivotal swing game in the league.

“The winner of that game will start thinking: ‘Maybe we can turn a game down the line and get on a run here,” Finebaum said.

Finebaum did also briefly talk about how the loss impacts Baylor, and more specifically head coach Dave Aranda.

“I was a little sad for Aranda, because that’s exactly how you get fired during a make-or-break year,” Finebaum said.
