ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Cool air moving over Lake Ontario is sparking up a few tiny showers near Rochester this morning, but emphasis on the word “tiny”. They won’t last long and they won’t do much. Clouds afterwards will give way to plenty of sunshine this afternoon as high pressure becomes the dominant force. Air will stay dry, but also on the cooler side as highs only reach near 70 degrees… Tonight mainly clear and cool again with lows in the upper 40s/low 50s.
Labor Day is shaping up to be a beautiful day as we’ll get a little warmer and keep the sun, with highs in the mid 70s. Humidity stays low as well and wind isn’t an issue. We see the mercury climb a little more on Tuesday then break through 80 degrees on Wednesday. At that time however humidity will be rising ahead of a cold front, and once that passes we can can expect showers and thunder Wednesday evening and overnight. No signs of severe weather yet but we’ll keep you updated. Behind that cold front by Friday, we’ll have a brief taste of fall!
