Thousands of runners will stride through 29 of the Windy City’s neighborhoods in just over a month during the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
Starting and ending in Grant Park, the 26.2-mile course takes participants on a loop through parts of the city’s downtown, North, West and South Sides.

For the first time ever, runners in the Chicago Marathon will have the option of refilling their hydration gear at four water stations that are provided in partnership with water services business Culligan International.
The refill stations will be located along the course to help reduce plastic waste while keeping participants hydrated.
