Despite playing enemies on Prime Video’s The Boys, Jack Quaid and Claudia Doumit are newlyweds.
Quaid, the son of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, became romantically linked to Doumit in 2022 before going official on the 2024 Oscars red carpet. Although they’ve chosen to keep their relationship mostly out of the spotlight, Dennis briefly opened up to People about the couple’s wedding ceremony.
“It made me remember when I let Jack off at the airport when he went to [New York University in 2010],” Dennis said during a screening of Water Wars on Sept. 2. “It just, it really gets emotional. You remember everything all at once. That just takes you by surprise.”
Dennis and his wife, Ryan, finalized their divorce in 2001 after 10 years of marriage. In a 2023 interview with People, Jack noted that growing up, he had friends whose parents were in the film industry, so his childhood “didn’t really feel different.”
“But then you grow up, and you realize that’s a pretty unique thing, that not one but two of your parents are actors,” Jack said. “You don’t realize that things are slightly abnormal until later.”
In June, Jack opened up about his own wedding on Jimmy Kimmel Live! People described the ceremony as low-key, taking place at Mona Farm in Braidwood, Australia, in April.
“It was amazing. It was really fun,” Jack said before talking about the reception, which featured a mechanical bull. “I have an amazing shot of [my wife], full wedding dress, on a mechanical bull. It was amazing,” he said.
