The 59-year-old was on comedian Jessica Kirson’s podcast when she revealed her father tried to play matchmaker with her and one of Hollywood’s biggest heartthrobs in the mid-’90s.
“He calls Brad Pitt into the trailer, and he’s just like, ‘There’s somebody I want you to meet. It’s my daughter. Very nice, she’s got her own life,’ which these are two things you do not want to be introduced to anyone,” Drena shared. “He gives him my number, ‘You know, why don’t you call her.”
According to Drena, De Niro, 83, also promised not to get involved if they got into a fight or if the relationship didn’t work out.

De Niro and Pitt starred together in the 1996 crime drama Sleepers, which also starred Kevin Bacon and Dustin Hoffman. Pitt also dated Paltrow from 1994 to 1997.

“So, I got really upset at my dad, and I knew he meant kind of well, but my dad was like, ‘Trust me. I put something in his head. He’s always going to wonder what would have happened if I had called her,'” Drena ended her story with a laugh.
Drena is the second oldest of De Niro’s seven children. He is also the dad to son Raphael, 49; twins Julian and Airyn, 30; son Elliott, 28; daughter Helen, 14; and daughter Gia, 3.
