‘Destroy product:' Recall issued for Halloween candy sold at HomeGoods, Marshalls ...Middle East

News by : (NBC Chicago) -

A spooky-looking Halloween candy sold at popular stores was recalled weeks before the holiday because it could lead to serious or life-threatening allergic reactions.

Bags and boxes of Little Temptations Halloween Chocolatey Eyeballs, sold under the Crystal Temptations brand, were recalled Monday because they contain milk, which wasn’t disclosed on the label. According to the Food and Drug Administration, milk is one of the nine major food allergens and has specific label requirements.

The candy, sold in 7 oz., 10 oz., 10.5 oz., 11 oz., and 16 oz. were distributed to Marshalls, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods and Sierra Trading post stores in Arizona; California; Connecticut; Georgia; Indiana; Massachusetts; Nevada; New Jersey; North Carolina; Ohio; Texas; Virginia and Wyoming.
