The Biju Patnaik Mini Marathon was organised on the occasion of birth anniversary of former Chief Minister, late Biju Patnaik. The Mini marathon was organised by Sports and Youth Services Department (DSYS) at Kalinga Stadium. Over 400 runners participated in the event which was flagged off by Sports Minister Tusharkanti Behera, Padma Shri Dilip Tirkey, and Principal Secretary, Sports Vishal K Dev. “It is heartening to see the enthusiasm of the participants. Despite the pandemic phase, we wanted to host this annual event and keep the legacy going. It is also our way of promoting health and fitness,” the Sports Minister said.
