Following the death of Dolly Parton this week, a video of Whitney Houston accepting her Grammy from the late country star is a little extra special now.

In a video resurfaced to YouTube, shared by the official Grammy’s account, Parton, along with David Foster are presenting the award for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a female. Upon announcing that Houston won for her song, “I Will Always Love You” — which was originally written by Parton and then produced by Foster — the late country star is seen beaming with excitement.

Upon accepting her award, Houston who died in in 2012 at the age of 48, immediately thanked Parton.

“Dolly, of course, coming from you this is truly an honor, you wrote a beautiful song,” Houston said. “Thank you so much, for writing such beautiful songs, really.”

The video, which was originally posted to Youtube in 2023, had already garnered a few comments regarding the fact that the two singers have died. “A world without these 2 magnificent, brilliant people who brought so much joy is truly a big loss to the world,” one wrote. “This video hits different today; both these goddesses are now united.”

“And now these 2 are together again,” added another, to which another user responded, “Yess, now they get to sing it together up in the heavens above.”

“Dolly and Whitney look so beautiful here. RIP beautiful angels,” another added.

Parton wrote the song in 1973 in dedication to Porter Wagoner, whom she starred with on his show. The song was her goodbye message to him when she decided to leave the program.

Houston then sang the song as part of The Bodyguard soundtrack in 1992.

Parton died on Tuesday, according to a statement shared by her nephew on he behalf.
