CHILI, N.Y. — Have you seen this street sign near the Greater Rochester International Airport? It may look normal, but it’s actually misspelled.
This is Hangar Road, off Scottsville Road in Chili.
According to the Monroe County Geographic Information System, the name should end with “ar” likely following the spelling of an airplane hangar.
Instead, it ends with “er” in the sign.
News10NBC checked out Google Street View, which shows the sign has been misspelled for at least 11 years.
