The announcement of a sequel came in the same month that Matthew McConaughey told the Happy Sad Confused podcast that “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” is “an endless treasure,” as he continues to receive royalties from the film, which he described as “his favorite romantic movie and a landmark in romantic comedy history.”
McConaughey rose to fame in the early 2000s with romantic comedies before transitioning to more serious roles, notably winning the Academy Award for Best Actor for “Dallas Buyers Club” in 2013.
