ROCHESTER, N.Y. – We’ve had a fall feel to the air the last few days, but summer temperatures will be making a return. Temperatures Tuesday night will fall back into the mid and upper 50s under a partly cloudy to mainly clear sky. Despite that cool and comfortable start to Wednesday, we’ll warm back into the upper 70s and lower 80s by the afternoon. We should see dry weather and a fair amount of sunshine with high pressure briefly overhead.
Our next round of rain will arrive on Thursday with a cold front. Scattered showers and some thunder will be developing during the afternoon and evening hours. Ahead of that, temperatures should once again reach into the lower 80s, which is average for late August. Once that front drops through, temperatures will drop back into the lower half of the 70s with a clearing sky on Friday.
At this point, the weekend continues to look pretty nice! Temperatures on Saturday will climb into the upper 70s, with lower 80s likely on Sunday. We’re still forecasting a dry weekend, but also monitoring a warm front that’ll move through. There’s the slight chance that could pop a shower or two, so check back if you have big outdoor plans.
