Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk on Sunday, August 23, 2026, said global investors have renewed their confidence in Egypt’s economic trajectory, with investment risk assessments falling to their lowest level since 2014.
“Our economy has started to improve, while the private sector is growing and accounts for 60% of investments,” Kouchouk said at a meeting with Egyptian diplomats abroad.
He said strong activity in industry, telecommunications, information technology and tourism was supporting economic growth, while the government was working to stimulate investment, reduce debt and expand tax and customs incentives.
Kouchouk said Egypt was seeking to expand its productive, industrial and export base to improve the economy’s competitiveness and attract more investment.
“Global investors have renewed their confidence in Egypt’s economic trajectory, and we look to your efforts to drive investment inflows,” he said.
He added that Egypt has significant potential to increase services exports, while its young workforce is capable of competing in global markets.
