The Tampa Bay Buccaneers used the 12th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft to select Vita Vea. And since he arrived in Tampa Bay, the guy has been a monster in the middle of the Bucs’ defensive line. The 31-year-old is a two-time Pro Bowler and a Super Bowl champion. He is coming off a solid season in which he recorded 4.5 sacks, 7 tackles-for-loss, and 13 quarterback hits in 17 games. His 72.8 overall grade ranked 18th among 127 interior defensive linemen at PFF. Vea would’ve been a good get in a trade. However, it’s not happening now that he has a new deal with the team that brought him into the league.
