HENRIETTA, N.Y. — A 15-year-old girl is facing charges after Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies say another girl was stabbed in Henrietta Tuesday.
It happened just before noon Tuesday on Lehigh Station Road. A deputy saw the girl holding knives while running across Lehigh Station Road. The deputy then left his patrol car and gave the girl verbal commands.
Deputies say the girl then reappeared empty-handed. Moments later, deputies were then dispatched to a home nearby.
Based on information provided, deputies say they realized the two things were connected, and detained the girl that had the knives.
Assisting units responded to the home and found another girl with a stab wound to the lower body. Deputies immediately started rendering aid to the victim while also clearing the home.
The 15-year-old girl that was detained was charged with assault in the second-degree. She was brought to Monroe County Family Court for arraignment and remanded to the Monroe County Children’s Detention Center.
