OHIO, N.Y. — A Wolcott man is dead after a motorcycle crash involving a tractor-trailer in Herkimer County.
It happened at around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Town of Ohio. State Police say the 21-year-old man from Wolcott was riding a motorcycle on State Route 8 when he went into the other lane and hit a tractor-trailer, then left the road and hit a tree.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. State Police have not yet released his name.
According to State Police, the driver of the tractor-trailer wasn’t impaired.
The investigation into the crash is still open.
