ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Roc Cinema in Rochester’s South Wedge neighborhood is now up for sale.
The owners invested more than $140,000 to turn the historic theater on South Clinton Avenue into the area’s first dine-in movie theater. After five years, the owners are moving to San Diego and said they hope a new owner will keep the theater going.
“We knew how much this theater meant to the neighborhood and to Rochester,” said Kristina Dinino-Jeffords. “Buying the theater was truly a passion project for us. We wanted to save it, give it new life, and create a place where people could continue making memories. We are incredibly proud of what ROC Cinema has become, and now we feel it is time to pass the torch to someone who can take it into its next chapter.”
