ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A mother and her partner have been indicted by a grand jury in connection to the death of a 2-year-old boy.
The grand jury indicted his mother, India Duncan, and her partner, Joshua Velez, on murder, manslaughter, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Rochester Police say first responders found the boy, Isaiah Jones, injured and unresponsive at a housing complex on Dewey Avenue on Sunday, May 10. He died in the hospital eight days later.
The Monroe County Medical Examiner ruled the boy’s death a homicide from non-accidental injuries to his head and body.
Velez faces a few other charges, including grand larceny, obstruction, and harassment. The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office says these charges stem from an “incident” that happened on July 30.
