Denver Broncos offensive line rated No. 1 by PFF, FTN ...Middle East

The Denver Broncos offensive line was rated No. 1 by multiple outlets ahead of the 2026 NFL season.

And who could argue with them.

Denver has multiple All-Pros and they’re a group that have played together extensively during the Sean Payton Era.

Both Pro Football Focus and FTN Fantasy have the Broncos as the best offensive line in the NFL.

From PFF:

“The Broncos return the same five starters from an offensive line that ended 2025 as PFF’s top-ranked unit, and there is no reason for change at the top. Left tackle Garett Bolles earned a 91.0 PFF pass-blocking grade last year, the highest among all offensive tackles, and didn’t allow a single sack across 802 pass-blocking snaps in the regular season. On the other side of the line, right guard Quinn Meinerz was the highest-graded guard in football, with his 91.0 PFF run-blocking grade trailing only Atlanta’s Chris Lindstrom among guards.”

There, Denver’s two All-Pros are mentioned. Bolles is one of the best pass blocking linemen in the NFL today. Meanwhile, Meinerz is a road grader and one of the best run blockers in the league. That’s symmetry.

From FTN:

“The Denver Broncos return all five starters from an offensive line that thrived in 2025. Four of five starters logged at least 1,000 snaps. Their top six linemen by snaps played allowed just five sacks and 129 pressures on 717 pass-protection snaps. According to FTN’s Stats and Charting, Denver was sixth among offensive lines in adjusted line yards (4.55) and yards before contact (2.5).

The Broncos haven’t had to lean on depth much in recent seasons and did a good job adding a developmental prospect, Boise State tackle Kage Casey, in the fourth round of the draft. He can eventually play tackle or guard in the NFL after logging 41 starts at left tackle in college.”

Here, FTN also looks at the future of the line with Casey, the rookie tackle. There’s also Alex Palczewski, who became a fan favorite and is the next man up if there are any injuries.

What makes the line so good?

Continuity is huge in team sports. And for the last three years, Denver’s starters have largely remained the same, with Luke Wattenberg taking over at center in 2024.

Right tackle Mike McGlinchey talked about it recently.

“We obviously know each other very well,” he said. “[Offensive Run Game Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach Zach] Strief has coached us all for a long time now. The things that we need to improve on and the things that we’ve decided that we want to do differently have all been huge focal points for this training camp. It’s a cool thing that we have [about] the group that we do, like you said, is the continuity to be able to kind of hold each other accountable, to be able to kind of coach each other along through different things and have the relationship and trust that we’ve built. It’s a really cool deal, and every day all we’re trying to do is get better. That’s the cool thing about our group.”

McGlinchey mentioned Zach Strief, too. Hearing the same instructions from the same coach also helps with that important interconnectedness.

Besides having a great connections with one another, Garett Bolles just earned First-Team All-Pro for the first time in his career, and Quinn Meinerz earned the same honor the last two years in a row.

The line gives Bo Nix time to throw the ball. They protect him and help the offense function. They also open up holes in the defense for the running backs to run through.

With the No. 1 offensive line in the NFL, the Broncos are set up for success on offense again this year. In all likelihood, they’ll be able to take a step forward so the team isn’t so imbalanced in favor of the defense.
