Emergency vehicles were seen surrounding an American Airlines jet on the tarmac at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on Monday afternoon.
NBC’s Sky 5 helicopter flew near the scene and observed numerous vehicles around the plane, which was on the tarmac at approximately 4 p.m. Monday.
Chicago fire officials say there were no transports from the scene, though an investigation remains underway.
There were no significant delays reported as a result of the incident according to the Chicago Department of Aviation.
NBC Chicago is awaiting comment from the FAA and from American Airlines officials.
