ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Elevated humidity levels ahead of a cold front will lead to scattered showers perhaps with a rumble of thunder this morning before the cold front passes and gradually clears our skies later this afternoon through the overnight hours with highs around 80. The cold front will decrease our humidity, but not enough to prevent some patchy fog from developing for the Tuesday morning commute, mainly south of Lake Ontario and in the valleys of the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier.
Highs tomorrow will again be near 80 with mainly dry and mostly sunny weather after the fog burns off by the middle of the morning. Humidity will continue to lower before spiking again on Wednesday.
Another cold front will pass by Wednesday morning, scraping up the moisture and creating another line of scattered showers and storms. No severe weather is expected and the day will improve behind the cold front. Nice conditions then last from Wednesday afternoon all the way through Saturday with lower humidity and lots of sun. Unsettled weather returns on Sunday.
Stay tuned for updates on the forecast.
