Jimmy Kimmel has been pulling double duty as both the host to Jimmy Kimmel Live! as well as the host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
When it comes to the differences in responsibilities between the two, however, Kimmel has shared there’s one notable difficulty he has with Who Wants to Be a Millionaire that he seldom has with Jimmy Kimmel Live!
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 58-year-old TV host was asked what the hardest thing was about hosting Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, the long-running game show presented by ABC.
Hilariously, Kimmel revealed that the hardest thing about hosting the show was correctly announcing each question and subsequent answers, largely rooted around proper pronunciation.
“Pronunciation! Even the word pronunciation is hard to pronounce,” Kimmel humorously said.
Elsewhere in the interview, The Hollywood Reporter also spoke with Kimmel about some of the biggest standout moments of his past year on TV, including which moments stand out to him the clearest.
Unsurprisingly, Kimmel quickly mentioned the brief suspension he received from ABC following his comments on the death of political activist Charlie Kirk. After his show was briefly removed from the air, ABC reinstated the show following significant backlash from fans and critics alike.
“No question that what I will remember most is the reaction to our unscheduled vacation [after Kirk], which went so far beyond what I ever could have expected,” Kimmel said. “I’ll never forget the support from friends, strangers and even those who generally make me throw up.”
When asked which guests he’d still like to have on the show, Kimmel also mentioned a former U.S. president, an ex-First Lady and a pair of legendary rock musicians as ideal dream guests.
“The Obamas would be a fun team,” Kimmel said. “Also, Hall & Oates.”
