ROCHESTER, N.Y. — On Wednesday, around 7:45 p.m., Rochester police responded to Campbell Street for a reported carjacking robbery at gunpoint. This led to a chase.
The investigation was soon underway while police looked for the stolen SUV. At around 9:15 p.m., police said they found the stolen SUV on Genesee Street, near Arnett Boulevard, and attempted to stop it.
The SUV didn’t stop, and that’s when a brief chase happened, according to police.
The SUV later stopped on Wellington Avenue, where three people who were inside the SUV ran away from officers, police added. The three suspects were arrested after a short foot chase, according to police.
The suspects are all teens from Rochester: an 18-year-old man, an 18-year-old woman, and a 15-year-old male, police said. The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.
Police also noted that no crashes happened during the chase, and no property was damaged.
