Egis appoints new Regional Director of Advisory ...United Arab Emirates

Local News by : (ME CONSTRUCTION NEWS) -

Steven Scott has been appointed Regional Director of Egis’ Advisory business across the Middle East & South Asia.

The leadership appointment is said to reflect Egis’ growing commitment to supporting public and private sector clients through the full lifecycle of major development and infrastructure programs, connecting high-level strategy with end-to-end project delivery.

Scott has 34 years of experience in development and infrastructure consulting, including 18 years based in the Middle East, and is said to bring a proven track record in urban economics, strategic capital planning, and complex development and regeneration.

Throughout his career, he has successfully led major projects and key client relationships across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman. Operating at the interface of economics, spatial planning, and capital investment, Scott’s collaborative approach has guided transformative public and private sector initiatives across the region, said a statement from Egis.

“Steven’s appointment strengthens our Advisory capability at a time when governments and private clients across the region are looking for partners who connect strategy to delivery. His extensive track record in leading major advisory programs, combined with his deep command of urban economics and capital planning, strongly positions Egis to support the region’s most ambitious development goals,” said Frederico Justus, CEO for Egis in the Middle East & South Asia.

Under Scott’s leadership, Egis will expand its advisory footprint across the region, delivering tailored solutions that balance technical excellence with commercial viability, regulatory framework compliance, and long-term economic priorities, the statement outlined.

“What clients need most right now is someone who can turn a capital plan into a delivery sequence that actually holds up on site. I want this team to sit alongside our clients – close enough to the planning & economics to shape the investment case, and close enough to delivery to know it will work. I’ve spent 18 years building relationships across this region, and I’m looking forward to putting that to work for Egis’ clients,” said Scott.

As other governments across the Middle East and South Asia sequence an expanding pipeline of major projects, the emphasis is shifting toward operational readiness, delivery discipline, and expanding public-private partnership models to manage risk and sustain speed, placing strategic advisory at the centre of how these programmes get built, the statement outlined.

Egis’ integrated services, spanning engineering, project management, digital innovation and advisory, offer clients a comprehensive approach that goes beyond traditional consultancy, it concluded.
