BERGEN, N.Y. — A Bergen man has been sentenced to prison for having machine guns and other illegal gun and gun parts.
Peter Celentano, 37, was sentenced to over 41 months in prison. During a search warrant executed at Celentano’s home in September 2024, investigators found 3D printed pistol frames, firearm parts and accessories, two 3D printed machinegun conversion devices and more.
Investigators also conducted searches at properties in Lyndonville and Medina. According to federal prosecutors, over 200 firearms in total were seized connected to Celentano.
During the investigation, investigators also learned Celentano had given someone nine lower receivers, two of which qualified as machine guns.
Prosecutors say a person known to Celentano discarded the guns off the Beals Road Bridge into the Erie Canal. A State Police dive team searched the Erie Canal and recovered a box containing 10 AR-style receivers, an unmarked handgun, ammunition magazines, and additional firearm parts.
