A man was arrested on Sunday, August 9, after allegedly burglarizing a Los Angeles home owned by Kim Kardashian and stealing a car that belonged to a staffer, according to multiple reports.
Authorities were called to the house in Hidden Hills just before 4 p.m. on Sunday, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Tracy Koerner told the L.A. Times. A man was seen loading multiple items into a vehicle at the property, he said.
The man also allegedly got behind the wheel of a car at the home and drove it around the neighborhood, the New York Post and TMZ reported.
A security guard saw the burglary in progress and reported it to the sheriff’s office, a source told TMZ. Upon arrival at the house, deputies found a 27-year-old male suspect and arrested him on suspicion of burglary. He was taken into custody without further incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
Kardashian, 45, is not currently living at the property while it is under renovation, TMZ reported. She and her children — North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7, whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West — have reportedly been living in a nearby rental for the past few months. The reality star was not present at the home at the time of the alleged burglary.
Kardashian and West, 49, purchased the estate in 2014 for $20 million, according to the Times. The 15,667 square-foot home includes living and dining rooms, a home theater, a game room with a wet bar, a paneled library, a gym, eight fireplaces, eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Initial renovations were completed in 2017, at which point the former couple moved into the home.
Kardashian and their kids remained in the house following her 2022 divorce from West.
The alleged incident at Kardashian’s home comes more than one year after she appeared in court to testify against 10 individuals who were accused of robbing her at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week in 2016.

During the frightening incident, Kardashian was held up in her hotel room by a group of men allegedly dressed like policemen and wearing masks. She claimed the suspects demanded her diamond ring before tying her up.
“He grabs my legs and pulls me. I’m naked and my everything is exposed,” Kardashian stated during her testimony. “I was sure that I was going to be raped.”
Multiple suspects were arrested in January 2017, with 10 individuals later charged in connection with the robbery. The trial ran from April to May 2025 and resulted in a guilty verdict for eight out of the 10 suspects. The remaining two suspects were acquitted.
“I am deeply grateful to the French authorities for pursuing justice in this case,” Kardashian said in a statement after the verdict was reached. “The crime was the most terrifying experience of my life, leaving a lasting impact on me and my family.”
She continued, “While I’ll never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and accountability and pray for healing for all. I remain committed to advocating for justice, and promoting a fair legal system.”
