Why the Classic Coaster Is Retiring
As reported by The Mirror, park bosses ultimately decided that the ride's frequent downtime and physical footprint could no longer be justified during Arnolds Park's brief 100-day summer operating season.
Preserving Coaster History for 2027 and Beyond
Though the Mad Mouse is being disassembled, its legacy will live on. At least one of the coaster's vintage cars will be permanently preserved at the Arnolds Park Museum, while select mechanical parts will be sent to Little Amerricka Amusement Park in Marshall, Wisconsin—home to the very last operating Mad Mouse model of its kind in the world.
With the space now cleared, Arnolds Park has confirmed that demolition will pave the way for an "exhilarating new attraction" set to officially debut in 2027.
