The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) warned of a heat wave with continued hot and humid weather across most of the country during the daytime.
The EMA explained that the weather will be slightly hot and humid at night and early morning across most areas, while hot and humid conditions will prevail during the day.
Weather maps also warned of fog formation from four am to eight am on several roads leading to and from northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt.
The fog may be dense at times on some roads.
Satellite imagery also predicted occasional wind activity from Wednesday to Saturday affecting parts of South Sinai, the Red Sea, the western coast, Greater Cairo, and southern Egypt.
The EMA indicated that high humidity levels will increase the perceived temperature by two to four degrees Celsius compared to the expected temperature in the shade, making the weather feel hotter, especially during the afternoon hours.
Temperature forecasts indicate a continued heatwave in southern Egypt, with the perceived maximum temperature in southern Upper Egypt reaching 44C on some days.
Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will experience maximum temperatures ranging between 37C and 40C.
Along the northern coast, maximum temperatures will range between 34-38C, while northern Upper Egypt will see temperatures between 40-42C.
Southern Upper Egypt will remain the most affected by the heatwave, with maximum temperatures reaching 43C and a perceived temperature of 44C.
The EMA urged citizens to follow weather bulletins and updates, especially given the high temperatures and humidity levels, and exercise caution while driving during periods of fog.
