When officers investigated, they reported that a 36-year-old Rochester man was riding a motorcycle while heading west on Norton Street when he crashed with an SUV that had three people inside. Leading up to the crash, the SUV was heading east on Norton Street when the driver attempted to turn left into a nearby gas station, where the crash occurred, police reported.
The rider of the motorcycle was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, and his condition is critical, police explained. One of the passengers of the SUV, a 21-year-old Rochester woman who was in the back seat, was also taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, but for non-life-threatening injuries, police added.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
