PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WHEC) – The Buffalo Bills extended offensive guard O’Cyrus Torrence with a massive four-year, $78.4 million deal. $46 million is guaranteed and it makes him the seventh highest paid guard in the NFL.
Torrence is one of the quietest players on the Bills, but his teammates were loud in support of his new deal.
“That’s fire, ya’ll just broke that news, that is lit,” said left tackle Dion Dawkins.
“I texted (Brandon) Beane, I said be careful at walkthrough tomorrow cuz I’m probably gonna give you a kiss and I’ve seen him twice since then and I’ve kissed Beane twice so far, said right tackle Spencer Brown.
“We’re all happy for him,” said Connor McGovern. “But the one that’s truly the happiest is (Josh Allen).”
And most of Allen’s excitement is clear – with Dawkins, McGovern, Brown, and now Torrence all inked under contract, he’s got great protection on the o-line.
“The investment that (Beane’s) put into our offensive line is something that makes me extremely happy because I love those guys,” said Allen.
