In the midst of making the rounds with Tropicoqueta, Karol G teased a new era was unlocking when she first premiered the dreamy indie ballad “Después de Ti” at her headlining set in Coachella in April.
The collaboration with Cigarettes After Sex guitarist Greg Gonzalez now forms part of Karol’s sixth studio album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, out today (Aug. 7) via Bichota Records that is one of many star-studded collabs on the set including Drake on “Ahí,” Bruno Mars on “Still,” and Judeline and Rusowsky on “Bby Wow.”
Forming part of the Colombian star’s new project is also the very provocative perreo with NSFW lyrics, “Matadora,” which debuted at No. 3 on the Hot Latin Songs chart dated Aug. 8.
A steer away from her colorful and tropical-leaning Tropicoqueta album — which debuted No. 1 on Top Latin Albums and No. 3 on the all-genre Billboard 200 in 2025 — No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto (“I Don’t Regret Feeling So Much” in English) is an intimate look at a stripped-down Karol, who’s in her feels and embracing all her emotions (a.k.a. Sad Bichota Season).
“I’d rather suffer because I lived too much — because I loved too much, because I had too much fun — than to not have had those experiences, you know?” the superstar said in a previous interview with ELLE. “I’m inviting everyone to be a little more dramatic, a little more extra.”
Karol announced that a new album was dropping at the very beginning of her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour during her July 29 show in Toronto, telling onlookers that she’s “been locked in for months making new music” and “preparing a segment that will form part of this tour.”
