ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The bar “Lux Lounge” had to close over a month ago due to a fire, and is now making progress rebuilding.
Lux posted some updates with photos on social media on Thursday. It says the front area of the bar, the stage, and dance floor were damaged the most by water, and had to be gutted down to the studs.
The fire
The building went up in flames at the end of June, and Lux closed until further notice.
The fire broke out just before 5 a.m., and crews arrived to flames coming from two windows. It took crews around 30 minutes to control the fire. RFD says some items were destroyed on the second floor, used for storage and office spaces.
