ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Our terrific weather on Tuesday will begin to change overnight. We’ll see a mainly clear sky give way to some high clouds moving in from the south by Wednesday morning. It’ll turn noticeably more muggy through the day on Wednesday, with dew points climbing back through the 60s and into the lower 70s by the afternoon and evening. Some showers and a few downpours will begin to move in through the mid to late afternoon hours and into the evening. So the first half of Wednesday will be dry, but you’ll have to dodge some raindrops for the 2nd half.
This same type of pattern will repeat itself on Thursday and Friday, with plenty of dry time, but periods of showers and a few downpours or thunder. At this point, Friday looks like it may be the wettest day of the week with the greatest chance of wet weather. With a lot of moisture in the air, some local downpours are likely, though any type of flooding is unlikely at this point.
Right now, it looks like the weekend will (hopefully) see a drier trend. Saturday will likely see some scattered showers or isolated thunder, but with less coverage than the prior few days. At this point, Sunday looks mainly dry, though a little wet weather can’t be totally ruled out either weekend day.
