Bobbie Brown left this earth for her heavenly home on August 1, 2026 at age 69. She was born Tuesday, July 9, 1957 in Nashville TN and was currently a resident of Wilson County. Bobbie is a retired Administrative Assistant/Office Manager and former employee of the State of Tennessee Forensic Services Division. She was an alumnus of McGavock High School graduating in 1975 and attended graduate studies in Nashville.
Bobbie enjoyed vacations at the beach, football, reading; but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren who knew her as “Nanny”. She was of the Baptist faith.
Bobbie is survived by her son Justin Sanders and daughter Heather Howard Briggs, both of Lebanon TN; seven grandchildren: Alyssa, Bayleigh, and Colton Sanders of Carthage, Dakota, Nathaniel, Matthew, and Christian Briggs, of Lebanon; brother: David W. (Pam) Brown of Castalian Springs TN; sisters: Wanda Brown Clark of Castalian Springs and Sandra Brown Oden of Gallatin; sister-in-law: Betty Halloway Brown of Murfreesboro; and several nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Cordell Brown and Sophia Mai Mangrum; step-parents Clarence E. Brown and Louvell Masters Mangrum; brothers Clarence Lewis Williams, James Edward Brown Sr., Jimmy Brown, and infant brother Paul Harvey Brown; sister Sophia Irene Brown Hammonds; fathers of her children Marvin Kenneth “Ken” Howard Jr. and Lonnie Sanders; nephew John A. Clark Jr; and brother-in-law John A. Clark Sr.
The Funeral Service is 1 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2026 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Pastor James E. Brown Jr., Bobbie’s nephew, will officiate. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday from noon until the service at 1 p.m. Entombment in Wilson County Memorial Mausoleum will follow the service. Pallbearers: Justin Sanders, Paul Brown, David Brown, Dakota Briggs, Nathan Briggs, and Matthew Briggs. Honorary Pallbearers: Christian Briggs and Colton Sanders.
