ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 37-year-old man is facing charges after Rochester Police say he hit and ran over an officer’s foot with his motorcycle.
Police say at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, an officer working a traffic post outside of the Puerto Rican Festival saw Kevin Giordano illegally park his motorcycle.
According to police, Giordano became agitated during the conversation with the officer, and made a comment about hitting the officer. Police say that’s when he started his bike and drove forward, running over the officer’s foot and into his leg, knocking him over.
Giordano was removed from the bike and safely taken into custody. He’s charged with assault, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.
Police say the officer’s injuries were minor.
