2026 U.S. Junior National Championships
August 3-7, 2026 Irvine, CA LCM (50 Meters) Meet Central Psych Sheets Live Results Live Stream Day 1 Prelims Heat SheetThe opening day of the 2026 U.S. Junior National Championships kicks off this morning from the William Woollett Jr. Aquatic Center in Irvine, just 36 hours after the conclusion of the National Championship meet in the same pool.
Monday morning’s session features the 200 fly, 50 back and 100 breast for both genders, with timed final heats of the girls’ 800 free and boys’ 1500 free scheduled for later in the day.
Fresh off winning four junior titles at last week, earning her spot on the Junior Pan Pac team, Audrey Derivaux will be back in the pool on Monday as the top seed in the girls’ 200 fly, while Caroline Mallard is also in the field after winning the ‘B’ final at Nationals.
The boys’ 200 fly features Ewan Dalrymple, who won the junior title last week, while David Sammons, who was the runner-up, comes in as the official top seed at 1:57.98—though both were faster at Nationals, with Dalrymple clocking 1:56.56 and Sammon touching in 1:57.14.
Maggie Dickinson and Benjamin Jaggers are the top seeds in the 50 back, while the 100 breast is paced by Grace Koenig-Song and Aibat Myrzamuratov.
Koenig-Song was the runner-up in the junior final of the women’s 100 breast Nationals last week, while Dickinson was 3rd in the junior final of the 50 back.
Myrzamuratov swam the ‘B’ final of the men’s 100 breast last week, placing 16th overall in 1:01.91 after setting a PB of 1:01.26 in the prelims.
In the 50 back, Jaggers was not in the field last week—the top finisher from the junior final at Nationals who is competing this morning will be Grant Bellin, who took 3rd in a best time of 25.84. Elliot Leasure, the 13-14 NAG record holder, will also be in the field after setting a new age group mark of 25.99 in July.
