ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police are investigating after gunfire hit two homes in different parts of the city on Sunday evening.
Police say several bullets hit a home on Sawyer Street off Genesee Street on the city’s southwest side just before 7:20 p.m. Officers found evidence of gunfire in the road.
About half an hour later, officers also responded to bullets hitting a home on Weaver Street off Joseph Avenue on the city’s northeast side. Police determined that a person riding a red scooter-type vehicle fired the shots before taking off on the scooter.
No one was hurt in either case, and RPD has not made any arrests. There’s no word on whether the two cases are connected. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
