ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The stubborn area of low pressure spinning in interior New England will finally begin to pull away on Thursday. Meanwhile, high pressure will begin to nose in from the west. That means our weather will dry out on Thursday. We may still see a a few showers on Thursday, especially east of Rochester, and especially before noon. But as the day goes on, we’ll see more and more more sunshine making a return. As a result, temperatures will rebound back through the 70s. If you have plans to go to Bills Training camp on Thursday, our weather looks much better than day 1! Though it still wouldn’t hurt to bring that rain coat, just in case a shower pops up.
Friday looks like it’ll be our nicest day of the next 5, with a mostly sunny sky and seasonably warm air. The weekend will be split. Saturday will be the better weekend day, though a few showers may begin to sneak in later in the afternoon and evening ahead of our next wave of low pressure. That will move through on Sunday, with a period of steadier rain and some thunder. At this point, a good portion of the day looks wet, but there’s a chance we can squeeze out some dry time if the rain ends early enough in the afternoon or evening. We’ll keep you posted as the week goes on.
Early next week is starting to look nicer, with mainly dry weather, a fair amount of sun and seasonably warm air.
